The Family Behind Bistro Moulin
Once a 16-seat Monterey favorite, Bistro Moulin has grown under the care of Federico and Sabrina Rusciano into a 55-seat French bistro, one block above Cannery Row.

Chef Federico Rusciano is a familiar name in Monterey County dining, with a lifetime spent in restaurant kitchens. At Bistro Moulin he cooks the French bistro classics that keep guests coming back, made from scratch with fish from Monterey Bay and produce from the valleys just inland.
Federico is also a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, so the wine at Bistro Moulin is personal. He chooses the wines himself to go with the food, and he is glad to stop by your table and suggest a pairing for whatever you order.

Sabrina Rusciano
Owner & General Manager
Sabrina Rusciano is the heart of Bistro Moulin, greeting every guest like an old friend. She runs the dining room with an eye for detail that shows in everything from the way each table is set to the pace of the meal.
Sabrina is a trained chef as well, and that experience shows on the plate. Her touch is in the bistro’s hand-crafted pastries and desserts and in its specialty dishes.
Together with Federico, she has grown Bistro Moulin into one of Monterey’s favorite restaurants while keeping the feel of a small, family-run bistro. From the first glass of wine to the last bite of dessert, Sabrina is there, making sure every guest feels looked after.
